FOR UNDER GRADUATION: B.SC. (HONS.) AGRICULTURE
The selection of candidates for all the seats shall be made based on ranks obtained by the candidates in AP EAMCET conducted by the state government and AGRICET organized by the university to the Agri. Polytechnic students. Candidates shall be selected based on the merit, presidential order, region and social status. Admissions shall be given in the constituent colleges only based on merit.
Fee Mechanism:
The fee for application, semester fee, special fee and other fee shall be prescribed by the university from time to time and the admission fee shall be paid by the candidate in person at the university campus at the time of counselling.
Registration Process:
Students who have received notification of admission from the university into various faculties will receive guidelines for the registration from the Associate Dean of the respective colleges.A registration and orientation program will be conducted by the Associate Dean of the college for the benefit of the students joining the university for the first time. The students in each batch shall have to register for the course offered and have to fill in the registration cards in person producing the identity card at the registration center on the day of registration. The academic section (undergraduate) of the college shall prepare a list of students who have registered for each course and send them course-wise to the teacher concerned within a week.
Academic Schedule Publication:
An approved academic calendar which provides the information of dates pertaining to the Registration of Course, Commencement of Instruction, Last date of Registration, Preparation Holidays, Semester Final Theory Examination and Commencement of Next Semester is communicated to the candidates after 10 days of the registration of semester.
ADMISSION PROCESS FOR POST GRADUATE PROGRAMMES (M.Sc. & Ph.D.)
MASTER OF SCIENCE: 2015-2018
Candidates seeking admission into master’s degree courses must have passed the bachelors degree examination from ANGRAU or any institution accredited by ICAR/approved by ANGRAU. In the above qualifying examination, the candidates must have secured minimum OGPA of 5.50/10 (SC/ST-5.00/10) or 2.5/4 (SC/ST-2.00/10) or 50% marks in traditional system (SC/ST-40%)
- The selection shall be based on the previous academic record at under graduate level and performance in entrance test and the weightage would be in the ratio of 30:70. The entrance test shall be comprehensive one, covering all relevant subjects prescribed for the concerned bachelor degree requirements of this university
- The admission shall be on the basis of counseling. The selected candidates shall submit the necessary certificates (in original), pay the prescribed fee and secure the admission at the allotted colleges.
DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY: 2015-2018
For admission into Doctoral courses, Master of science or an equivalent examination in Agriculture in the concerned field of specialization atleast with 50% marks in the aggregate under traditional system of examination or an OGPA of 3.25/4.00 (SC/ST-3.0/4.0) or 7.5/10.0 (SC/ST- 7.0/10.0) in grade point system and the basic degree i.e., B.Sc (Ag) of 4 years duration from ANGRAU or any institution accrediated by ICAR/approved by ANGRAU is essential
Criteria of Selection:
The weightage of marks
Entrance test 50%
M.Sc. level 30%
B Sc. Level 10%
Interview performance 10%
The qualifying marks in entrance test shall be 50%, in case of SC/St candidates there are no qualifying marks. Selection of candidates for admission into Ph. D. course shall be made by a selection committee constituted by the Vice-Chancellor.
PG and Ph.D : 2019-20
The admission into Master’s or Doctoral degree are based on the marks /rank obtained in ICAR’s All India Entrance Examination (AIEEA)/ ICAR’s All India Competitive Examination (AICE). The student applied for a subject group has to produce rank card in that subject group only. The weightage of the academic performance and AIEEA/AICE (ICAR) rank card / marks for admission is as follows:
- PG programme admission: The selection shall be based on the previous academic record at Undergraduate level and performance in AIEEA (ICAR) test and the weightage would be in the ratio of 30:70.
- For Doctoral Programme admission: The selection shall be based on the previous academic record at Undergraduate level, post graduate level, performance in AICE (ICAR) test and interview and would be in the ratio of 10:30:50:10.
- Qualifying marks: As per AIEEA/AICE (ICAR) rules, the candidate qualified and secured rank card in AIEEA/AICE (ICAR) are eligible for admission into master’s degree and Doctoral degree, respectively
